Bikes..
Before cars we were into bikes, GT 250s, 400/4s, 750/4 SOHC, CD 175s, Kawasaki 1100 chop, Triumph bonneville etc. Years of bike rallies, IOM TT, Germany, Switzerland, South of France for the Bol D Ore 24hr, it was great but family meant a car and it just grew. I still have my old 750/4, a 1979 F1 SOHC but its in need of love sadly.
Bikes are still in my system so working on them is an enjoyment but same as cars I am old school.

A small example of work.
Above photos show a repair to a Harley Davidson, the chain cover acts as the outer bearing/support for the kick start so is under quite a bit of stress, this resulted in a mounting lug being broken off the crank case. In order to weld properly this would need an engine strip which the customer was reluctant to go through.
After a look over the area in question I came up with a simpler repair costing a lot less and would be permant untill a strip down was needed.
The other pics are of a Kawasaki chop that had some forward controls fitted but they were too low so scraped if ridden spiritedly and with the conecting rods having already broken once before it was deemed a better set up was required.
New brackets welded on, new rods made with rose joints, a new nicer brake pivot made and the brake return spring mounted properly instead of jubilee clips wrapped around the frame tube.
