Welding..

Alan started welding cars a long time ago and has always had the opinion of if its worth doing its worth doing right.. So an mot patch gets treated the same as a restoration patch so you wont be redoing the same bit next year.

Bad rust is cut out and if more is found then that is cut out as well, an outer sill gone rusty is often hiding an inner sill with the same issue and the inner sill is more important as your seatbelts and suspension components are bolted directly to it in many cars. New metal ( zintec is used as it has a zinc coating which helps it to remain rust free) is shaped and welded in, a weld through primer is used at joins and Buzzweld primers used where welding is finished.

The repair is primed then black waxed underneath and the outside is epoxy primed ready for any body finish. We can do paintwork if required but it is not our forte so we refer to our efforts as a 10 foot paint job, it is fine for hiding the repair but its not a concours job.

Peugeot J7 van, pictures show some of the tooling that was made to replicate panels that are not available to buy.

Engineering Work..

We can do odd bits of machining to help with modified parts or parts no longer available, our machines are manual so are great for one offs and prototypes.

A few of the small engineering jobs weve done.. Bosche VE pump throttle cable link modification, rear axle bearing removal tool, hub modification pus spigot rings for discs, a space to aid the matching of an axle to hub combo where the bearings were unavailable and an EGR delete tube machined from a solid billet of ally.

Odd jobs..

We get asked about Some weird and wonderful things .. restoration of wheel barrows, boats plus building things like stage sets for the Secret Garden and The Rocky Horror Show.. We are always open to stuff like this..
